The 2017 NS Stars had a great weekend culminating with a nail-biter 2-1 victory in the AAA final of the Oyster Cup.

The Stars began their weekend with a close 3-2 win over the PEI Sharks and a 4-2 win over Cape Revival. They played the Nova Knights in the final round robin game and were defeated 5-4 in a close contest. They then saw the Knights again in the semi-finals and came out with a close 3-2 victory to punch their ticket to the finals. In the finals, they played a skilled and determined PEI Sharks who were hungry for redemption. The Stars bent, but did not break and came out with a thrilling 2-1 victory to cap off an exciting weekend of hockey on the Island!
